The Administrative Assistant reports to the Wellington Center Manager. This is part-time role at the Lorain County Community College Wellington Center in Wellington, Ohio. The position provides direct support for outreach and enrollment related activities including proctoring exams, sharing general college information and serving as a liaison between the community and Lorain County Community College. The candidate must be well organized and able to deal effectively with individuals in a variety of roles across campus. The candidate must have the ability to produce correspondence, schedules and marketing materials; communicate effectively and professionally by phone, in person, and electronically; and assist in planning, organizing and implementing meetings, events and workshops. The ability to work independently, work cooperatively with other staff and faculty, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally is essential.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent, with 2-3 years’ experience in an office environment; stellar customer service skills; technical know-how; excellent office equipment and computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office® software (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; with 4-7 years of related experience. May possess appropriate licensures or certifications with some advanced training.
This position is a 20-25 hours/week position.
