Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC a world class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work. 


In the role, The Jr. Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting gas turbine component Quality Management Systems within the shop by following and implementing Quality processes.  The Jr. Quality Engineer will be mentored by an experienced Quality Representative. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 


Essential Functions

  • Reviews, makes recommendations and updates Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes that support the achievement of Quality targets.
  • Trained to Conducts Quality Assurance internal and external audits to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
  •  Will be trained to provide production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and proposing quality improvements.
  • Collects and analyzes quality information for the development of quality strategy and programs.
  •  Analyzes quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes
  •  Will be trained to develop and implements program quality plans and procedures.
  • · Develop a strong working relationship with both vendors and suppliers. Be available to travel to give support and to comply with all required audits.
  • · Develop a process for performing incoming inspections on part details, build and support process through maturity.
  • · Ensure facility maintains its ISO 9001certifications. This action will require coordination and performance of internal audits.
  • · Adjust/Revise Policies and Procedures as needed.
  • · Maintain and help perform First Article Inspections.
  • · At times may have to perform basic inspection steps to support production floor, closeout quality documentation and sign Certificate of Conformances as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be mobile and comfortable working in both office and shop environments.

Education and Experience:

  • At least a 2-year technical degree or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
