 ***This position is based out of employee's home office and requires frequent travel throughout the state of Florida to visit PRIDE Industries' operations within Correctional Intuitions***


JOB SUMMARY: The General Manager is responsible for four strategic Business Units (SBU) – Services, Land Management, Specialty Manufacturing, and General Manufacturing. The GM oversees, hires, trains, and coaches employees and is responsible for day-to-day operations and monitors work activities of training inmates while ensuring plant meets its objectives. Establishes budget and achieves financial goals for all industries. The General Manager is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the company by accomplishing performance objectives focused on driving revenue, controlling costs, delivering product and service quality and training inmates.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Oversee quality of manufacturing facilities.
  2. Trains employees in Kaizen procedures; conducts Kaizen events.
  3. Oversee the manufacturing production processes and ensure the weekly production schedule is met.
  4. Monitor and enforce quality standards and quality-control programs.
  5. Assume a leadership role in the development and implementation of manufacturing efficiency processes.
  6. Control manufacturing inventory- track material and supply levels and submit ordering request as necessary.
  7. Interact closely with customers and vendors.
  8. Accountable for maintaining integrity for on-time shipments, people utilization, damages; provide periodic reports to multiple tiers within the organization, ensuring accurate communication.
  9. Communicating policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed.
  10. Directing and ensuring top service for internal/external customers


Requirements

Education and Experience: 4-year college degree + 5 years manufacturing experience; prefer MBA.

Language Skills: Advanced verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Mathematical Skills: Advanced math skills.

Reasoning Ability: Reading comprehension.

Specialized Knowledge and/or Skill: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in Excel. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP system• Detail oriented, strong initiative, and resourcefulness. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management. Ability to work independently at home or collaboratively in the office. Well organized, self-motivated problem solver.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Industries are location throughout the state requiring frequent travel.
