Job Description
Position: Lead Service Associate
Department: Del Sol Marketplace
Job Summary: Under general direction, assists with supervising and directing daily site operations and staff and
safeguarding assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides customers with superior customer service.
- Performs and verifies jackpots according to approved and established procedures.
- Performs minor machine repairs.
- Performs basic troubleshooting and repair of slot machines, as required.
- Ensures all slot machines are secure and tamper-proof
- Assesses the condition of slot machines that indicate service is needed.
- Maintains a working knowledge of promotions.
- Assists management with staff training including customer service, cleanliness standards, sales register operations, slot machine payouts, and basic site operating issues.
- Assists in assuring that inventory goods are properly stocked, faced, in date code, saleable, and properly priced.
- Ensures that secured areas within the store are adequately controlled.
- Assures that location safety programs are followed.
- Maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of site.
- Ensures that site is properly operating in absence of General and Assistant Manager.
- Ensures that all site equipment is properly functioning and well maintained.
- Assures that all Tribal policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Assists with managing cost controls and cash flow practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic customer service practices;
- Knowledge of basic management/supervision practices and techniques;
- Knowledge of basic recordkeeping and reporting procedures;
- Knowledge of site policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations;
- Skill in perform moderate mathematical computations;
- Skill in routine maintenance on equipment and determining what kind of maintenance is needed;
- Skill in conduct inspections of products, services and processes to evaluate quality and performance;
- Skill in delegating assignments and coordinating activities;
- Skill in training and supervision of subordinates;
- Basic skills in the use of electronic test equipment, power tools, and other tools of the trade.
- Basic skills in the use of personal computers and other office equipment.
- Ability to use point of sale, scanning, and inventory control equipment;
- Ability to operate facility equipment;
- Ability to Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees;
- Ability to reach, carry, and deliver change to guests and to maintain a slot bank;
- Ability to walk or stand 100% of the shift;
- Ability to use tact, courtesy, and communicate well with others, orally and in writing;
- Ability to maintain a strong, team-oriented environment;
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule and work extended hours as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Six (6) months of progressive responsibility working in a retail establishment, preferably a convenience store with fuel service;
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation;
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age;
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.;
- Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid Class II Gaming License;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
