Position:              Lead Service Associate
Department:      Del Sol Marketplace
Job Summary:   Under general direction, assists with supervising and directing daily site operations and staff and
                          safeguarding assets.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides customers with superior customer service.
  2. Performs and verifies jackpots according to approved and established procedures.
  3. Performs minor machine repairs.
  4. Performs basic troubleshooting and repair of slot machines, as required.
  5. Ensures all slot machines are secure and tamper-proof
  6. Assesses the condition of slot machines that indicate service is needed.
  7. Maintains a working knowledge of promotions.
  8. Assists management with staff training including customer service, cleanliness standards, sales register operations, slot machine payouts, and basic site operating issues.
  9. Assists in assuring that inventory goods are properly stocked, faced, in date code, saleable, and properly priced.
  10. Ensures that secured areas within the store are adequately controlled.
  11. Assures that location safety programs are followed.
  12. Maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of site.
  13. Ensures that site is properly operating in absence of General and Assistant Manager.
  14. Ensures that all site equipment is properly functioning and well maintained.
  15. Assures that all Tribal policies and procedures are adhered to.
  16. Assists with managing cost controls and cash flow practices.
  17. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of basic customer service practices;
  2. Knowledge of basic management/supervision practices and techniques;
  3. Knowledge of basic recordkeeping and reporting procedures;
  4. Knowledge of site policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations;
  5. Skill in perform moderate mathematical computations;
  6. Skill in routine maintenance on equipment and determining what kind of maintenance is needed;
  7. Skill in conduct inspections of products, services and processes to evaluate quality and performance;
  8. Skill in delegating assignments and coordinating activities;
  9. Skill in training and supervision of subordinates;
  10. Basic skills in the use of electronic test equipment, power tools, and other tools of the trade.
  11. Basic skills in the use of personal computers and other office equipment.
  12. Ability to use point of sale, scanning, and inventory control equipment;
  13. Ability to operate facility equipment;
  14. Ability to Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees;
  15. Ability to reach, carry, and deliver change to guests and to maintain a slot bank;
  16. Ability to walk or stand 100% of the shift;
  17. Ability to use tact, courtesy, and communicate well with others, orally and in writing;
  18. Ability to maintain a strong, team-oriented environment;
  19. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule and work extended hours as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED;
  2. Six (6) months of progressive responsibility working in a retail establishment, preferably a convenience store with fuel service;
  3. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation;
  4. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age;
  5. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.;
  6. Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid Class II Gaming License;

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
