Position
OMG’s Roofing Products Division is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high-performance, Factory Mutual-approved products for the commercial roofing industry. We manufacture highly engineered roofing fasteners, insulation adhesives and roof drains and supply other rooftop components. Key to ensuring strong performance of this division is our ability to provide actionable analytics and strategic insights on critical data including forecasted sales, customer behaviors, and market trends. Utilizing our customer relationship management and lead generation platforms, the Sales Operations Analyst drives the team to create new and impactful ways to measure and improve our business performance. Reporting to the Senior Sales & Operations Manager for Roofing Products, this position requires strong leadership, business acumen, critical thinking, communication and presentation skills.
Position Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees.
- Lead a bookings snapshot report including weekly analysis of snapshot data.
- Generate and maintain various snapshot analysis reports applying advanced Excel skills.
- Coordinate CRM sales orders, bookings, allocations, configuration issues and pricing.
- Bookings forecast reconciliation within CRM and other lead generation and/or ERP systems.
- Complete quarter end close activities in conjunction with corporate finance.
- Address and troubleshoot inquiries relating to order conditions and configurations from Sales, Operations, IBP and Finance.
- Run divisional tool slotting in conjunction with Operations.
- Run weekly divisional meetings pertaining to order status, forecast, order review and scheduling shipments.
- Receive quote requests, quote changes, adjustments and cancellations from Field Sales. Submit requests to Finance for order processing as needed.
- Review and acknowledge divisional approval for non-standard terms and conditions in accordance with bookings policy.
- Concentrated support and work dedication during peak activities, such as at the end of corporate fiscal periods.
- Work on problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for acquiring results.
- Utilize strong communication skills, verbal and written, to relate and resolve specific order issues. Ability to act in authoritative role in meetings or related discussions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years’ overall functional experience working in Sales and/or Sales operations roles.
- Experience working with concepts, practices, and procedures in Sales Operations and understanding general sales processes, terminology and KPIs.
- Experience in Roofing Products industry preferred.
- Excellent analytical and business intelligence skills, strong with numbers.
- Strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work collaboratively cross functionally.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to convey key messages through visualization and charts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in CRMs, PowerBI, Advanced Excel.
- Proven track record of executing high intensity projects.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, project management and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to effect organizational change.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Positive can-do attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds.
