Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is excited to open our newest expansion program of Lutheran Senior LIFE in Union County!
We are seeking an experienced PACE Director to join our team! This position would provide oversight of all operational aspects for our two locations, S. Plainfield and Jersey City. Responsibilities include ensuring financial viability; managing business relationships with state agencies, vendors and contracted providers; directing the overall planning of the program for census growth and sustainability.
Education/Training/Certifications:
Bachelors degree in Public Health/Policy, Healthcare Administration or similar education required. Master�s degree preferred. LNHA a plus!
Skill(s):
- Knowledge and demonstrated competency in the management of health care programs for elderly persons.
- Skill in personnel selection, evaluation and supervision
- Skill in negotiating contracts and agreements with federal, state and local agencies
- Skill in administering budgets, monitoring expenditures and determining resource allocation
- Skill in managing a community-based long term care program
- Skill in working with community and professional advisory committee.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid program and capitation models.
- Ability to lead and work within an interdisciplinary setting.
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Ability to anticipate and manage changing priorities per needs of the program.
- Enthusiasm for geriatric medicine and issues in taking care of the chronically ill.
- Skill and knowledge of how to work effectively in a managed care environment
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year working with the frail or elderly
- 6-8 years experience in non-profit administrative/management capacity preferably in the field of aging, long term care or managed care.
