Purpose of Role
Responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of IT hardware assets within the organization, with a focus on imaging, deploying, tracking, and maintaining laptops and related equipment, as well as managing shipping logistics and inventory levels for IT assets. Ensures assets are provisioned efficiently, maintained accurately in inventory systems, and returned properly at the end of their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Images, prepares and configures laptops for end users, ensuring devices meet company standards and security requirements.
- Assigns and documents laptop ownership in the asset management system.
- Provides initial setup guidance and ensures smooth handoff to employees.
- Coordinates shipping of IT assets to remote and on-site employees.
- Tracks shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
- Manages the return process for IT assets, verifying condition and updating records.
- Maintains accurate records of on-hand IT assets, including laptops, peripherals, and accessories.
- Conducts periodic audits to reconcile physical inventory with asset management systems.
- Monitors stock levels and requests replenishment when necessary.
- Tracks hardware from procurement through deployment, use, and decommission.
- Ensures retired assets are securely wiped, properly disposed of, or recycled per company policy.
- Provides reports on asset utilization, availability, and lifecycle status.
- Partners with IT support teams to ensure end users receive fully functional equipment.
- Works with procurement and finance teams on asset-related purchases and reporting.
- Upholds compliance with IT security and data protection policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in technology (hardware and software) asset management, inventory control, or logistics.
- Experience supporting computer hardware, operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows), and applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, etc.). Breadth of experience with a variety of computer models, printers, and other peripherals is preferred.
- Knowledge of information technology service management (ITSM) principles, best practices, and tools required.
- Knowledge of laptop imaging tools and deployment processes.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Familiarity with asset management or inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to manage shipping logistics.
- Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical terms for non-technical people.
- Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is ($47,840 - $56,160) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
