The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the financial outcomes are exceeded through analyzing financial data and proactively providing solutions and recommendations for improvements to the assigned business unit. This role will also create and provide metrics/tools to evaluate all financial outcomes at each stage.  A strong focus on problem identification will be essential for analyzing variances and providing timely feedback to drive improved outcomes. You will work alongside the corporate accounting team to provide seamless reporting, results and streamline communication. Flexibility and a willingness to work under last minute requests and deadlines will be very important in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Analyze and report on business unit financials, including preparation of flash reports, identifying key variances, and delivering actionable insights. 

2.    Prepare financial reporting and analysis to support client meetings and presentations as needed. 

3.    Proactively identify problem areas within financial operations and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvement. 

4.    Collaborate with IT to develop and maintain dashboards and financial tools that provide real-time insights, enabling the operations team to perform efficiently and effectively. 

5.    Investigate and resolve financial variances as they arise. 

6.    Develop and manage proformas for new business opportunities and analyze performance by comparing actual results to projected plans. 

7.    Assist in budget process, forecasting, and accruals for our clients.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

1.       Strong proficiency with electronic communication and Microsoft Office Suite required.

2.       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

3.       Minimum of 5 years in financial analyst experience.

4.       Expertise with Workday Adaptive for financial reporting and analysis.

5.       Experience with Sage 300 GL system or similar ERP platform.

6.       M&A integration experience, particularly in consolidating financial operations.
