JL Stacker at Smurfit Kappa North America

The Production -- JL Stacker assists in gluing boxes and finishing units.  

Primary Duties 

• Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures.  Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
• Rotate with Top Stacker between bundling and stacking when necessary
• Assist Top Stacker in gluing boxes and finishing last unit
• Ensure finished box count is correct
• Report final box count to J&L Operator
• Assist with tags and cover sheets when necessary
• Learn to perform First Helper-J&L job
• Assist in set up when necessary
• Bundle boxes according to factory master
• Assist in cleaning area as necessary, this includes keeping all sheets off of floor
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs
• Use proper lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending techniques
• Perform each task in a manner which prevents bodily injury, equipment and product damage
• Observe all safety and health guidelines
• May be assigned to other projects and duties
