Available Shifts:
- First Shift : Monday - Friday : 5am-1:30pm - $26.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure overall compliance with quality, safety, operational policies and procedures to ensure employee safety and product/food safety Ensure effective written and oral communication within the Production Team while also maintaining clear and coordinated communication lines with all support departments.
- Establish and foster strong relationships between production and maintenance/ sanitation personnel (and others as required) utilizing a team/ customer based approach to establish a clean, safe working environment.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPI). Assist/ lead in all continuous improvement activities
- Support and assist with coordinating all cross-training activities as required.
- Confirm/Prepare raw materials 5 days in advance of production dates. Report out shorts/issues. Provide/circulate a daily tank inventory. Complete daily reports (attendance, Co-ordinate rework staging; follow-up to ensure use, correctly documented in batch system and properly consumed in WMS . Perform regular paperwork audits (quality, cleaning, production) report out deficiencies.
- Create a sense of ownership within the production team to keep their production areas clean and tidy. Assist Supervisor/Operators with 5S program and perform regular audits. Assist Operators/Supervisor to meet production targets and schedules. Create a sense of urgency and ownership within the production team as relates to the achievement of production targets. Complete and record hourly targets (production report outs), immediately report out targets missed for 2 consecutive hours to Supervisor.
- Work closely with production operators to ensure any equipment deficiencies are identified/ corrected and assist with completing and filing of work orders. Work closely with production operator to ensure any process deficiencies are identified, recorded correctly (data sheets) and solutions are being implemented. Ensure that all activities are properly documented and reported to the supervisor (production report outs).
- Lead direct reports in the performance of their work including: training, work assignments and performance issues. Provide regular report outs to the Supervisor. This may include recommending personnel actions such as disciplinary measures, training requirements and providing information for performance evaluations. Assist Supervisor with documenting standard work instructions for routine and repetitive tasks.

Physical Requirements:
- Majority of time in production work environment
- Requires frequent periods of walking, standing, bending, climbing
- May occasionally lift, push, pull and carry minimal weights
- Exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust – must wear hearing protection, safety shoes, hair/beard net, uniform
Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct
- Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear, when on the plant floor v. office
Performance Expectations:
- Knowledge and understanding of production operations and machinery
- Ability to problem solve independently and implement solutions, prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- One year prior work experience at company preferred
- Strong safety and quality background
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite abilities to complete reports and logs
- Excellent problem-solving skills
