Job Summary: Pembroke Hill School is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their Business Office team. This role supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the business office, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the accounting and reporting systems while providing excellent customer service to all constituencies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections,
and account reconciliations.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes and maintain positive client
relationships.
Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close activities.
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
1 – 3 years of accounting experience preferred with a strong understanding of GAAP.
Administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to tactfully support school policies.
Proficiency in Excel and other accounting systems.
Excellent attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule: This is a year round position paid time off in accordance with employee benefit plans.
Compensation: Compensation will be based on related experience and education and a competitive norm influenced by local relevant professional salary data. Transcripts and verification of employment will be required.
