Keep our Participants moving with care, accuracy, and compassion. As the Transportation & Scheduling Specialist, you’ll coordinate the daily logistics that connect our Participants to essential appointments and services, ensuring every ride runs smoothly and on time.


What You’ll Do:

  • Schedule and coordinate transportation for clinic visits, Adult Day Health, and other participant needs.
     
  • Review daily transportation schedules for accuracy and submit next-day manifests to providers by 2 p.m.
     
  • Notify Participants of upcoming appointments and send reminders by phone, mail, or email.
     
  • Communicate promptly about service changes, cancellations, and “no-shows.”
     
  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues and adjust logistics to maintain service reliability.
     
  • Track service utilization and provide accurate reports.
     
  • Participate as a member of the PACE Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and in Plan of Care (POC) meetings.
     
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors, and other staff.
     
  • Handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA.
     
  • Learn driver responsibilities and assist with transportation when needed.
     
  • Be available for on-call support as assigned.
     

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
     
  • CPR and Basic First Aid certification (required).
     
  • Minimum one year of experience in a busy office environment, ideally in healthcare or transportation.
     
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
     
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
     
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
     
  • Professional, dependable, and adaptable under pressure.

Requirements

  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

· One year of experience working in a busy office environment, preferably health care or transportation.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

· Exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate work relationships. 

· Advanced knowledge of computer technology & Microsoft Office a must. 

· Positive, professional attitude & appearance. 

· Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. 

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions on the telephone and in person, from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent sitting, standing, walking and repetitive leg and arm movements, Frequent bending, reaching forward and overhead, squatting and kneeling. Ability to communicate verbally, with an excellent comprehension of the English language.
