Do you get a buzz from uncovering new opportunities and turning creative ideas into successful partnerships?
Are you ready to take Penguin Random House UK’s authors and brands to audiences around the world?
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Business Development Key Account Manager to join our International Sales team — someone who’s as excited about books and storytelling as they are about building global relationships.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how Penguin Random House UK partners with global industries from fashion and luxury to lifestyle and entertainment. You will be also working with colleagues in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe to grow our existing list.
You’ll drive growth through brand partnerships, custom publishing, and creative collaborations that bring our authors and brands to new markets.
About You
- You’re a self-starter with strong commercial instincts, able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team.
- A confident communicator and skilled stakeholder manager, you can build trust and navigate complex relationships across a large organisation. You combine creativity with strategic thinking — spotting trends, developing innovative ideas, and delivering results through collaboration and persistence.
- You bring commercial acumen, curiosity, and resilience, with the ability to manage multiple projects, analyse opportunities, and maintain a sharp eye for detail. Experience in publishing isn’t essential — just a passion for creativity, global partnerships, and storytelling.
- Some international travel may be required.
What You’ll Bring
- A solid commercial background in sales, retail, or business development
- Proven experience managing key accounts and stakeholder relationships
- Strong negotiation and pitching skills
- An entrepreneurial, solution-focused mindset
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence operating across diverse industries and global markets
