Senior Manager - Inventory Analyst

Your Mission
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented senior manager inventory analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at turning complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions. The ideal candidate is research-driven, articulate, and confident in both written and verbal communication. They’re a collaborative team player with strong project management skills, capable of building efficient processes, managing multiple priorities, and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the organization. The Inventory Analyst, is at the forefront of product market integration, responsible for coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure our newest releases are readily available on street date. Communication with our Sales and Marketing teams as well as strong relationships across manufacturing, labels, and logistics is key to being a success in this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee and analyze the global inventory of all BMG physical stock to ensure optimal availability, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Manage arrival schedules of goods in alignment with warehouse deadlines and required-by dates, collaborating closely with our physical distribution partners.
- Use data-driven sales forecasting to inform and coordinate purchase order placement with distribution partners.
- Monitor and evaluate inventory levels for new releases and catalog products across all product lines, ensuring healthy stock balance and minimizing overstock or shortages.
- Track and assess purchase order performance, ensuring on-time deliveries and accurate fulfillment quantities.
- Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends, optimize replenishment cycles, and improve demand forecasting accuracy.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to maintain inventory levels that align with commercial goals, promotions, and budget constraints.
- Generate and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock on hand, turnover rates, replenishment efficiency, and sales performance.
- Evaluate stock levels to determine reorder candidates, product deletions, and obsolescence, providing actionable recommendations based on trend analysis.
- Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing, and Label teams to resolve supply chain issues, including product quality, recalls, and process deviations.
- Conduct root-cause analyses on product and system discrepancies; manage system updates and corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
- Develop and present monthly analytical reports and dashboards summarizing inventory performance, risks, and optimization opportunities.
What You Bring
- Previous years of inventory management or supply chain analysis experience, ideally within the music or entertainment industry.
- Proven experience using data and metrics to identify trends, optimize inventory levels, and improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to define and implement data-driven process improvements using automation and analytics tools.
- Skilled in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience working with large datasets and using SQL, Python, or R for analysis (preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query, and Macros).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint, Asana, Jira).
- Comfortable collaborating with data science, finance, and IT teams to operationalize AI-driven insights and tech-enabled inventory solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field is nice to have!
