POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for the overall performance of the Credit Union’s assigned network of branches. Achieves regional growth goals. Contributes to operational functions and makes significant contributions to the formulation, implementation, and administration of corporate-wide policies and business goals. This position will ensure the branches under their supervision are appropriately staffed, have the appropriate tools, and training to meet company goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1.Assumes direct responsibility for Financial Center Managers and indirect responsibility for other financial center staff.
a.Ensure that Financial Center Managers have appropriate staff that fit with in the Credit Unions sales and efficiency models, and that daily operations are being met.
b.Ensure all financial center(s) staff are held accountable to the goals, policies, and rules of the Credit Union.
c.Hold regular meetings with managers to ensure an open line of communication is maintained, and staff are updated on company targets and changes. Communicates job expectations. Answers operational questions and issues from financial center personnel.
d. Conducts and/or approves performance appraisals as assigned.
2. Assumes responsibility for financial center procedures and processes.
a.Write and disseminate new procedures or changes to procedures.
b. Periodically review financial center procedures for potential changes that could benefit the Credit Union. This includes ensuring procedures remain relevant.
c. Make sure financial centers are using the appropriate processes across the entire Retail Financial Center network to ensure an efficient consistent experience.
d. Periodically review financial center processes for potential changes that could increase efficiencies and improve member experiences.
e. Works with other departments to improve approved changes to procedures and processes.
3. Assumes responsibility for Financial Center(s) Business & Brand Model Execution
a. Reinforce the flawless execution of the Business & Brand Model at each financial center location.
b. Reinforce the Five Star Culture in all financial centers.
c. Provide direction to Financial Center Managers on executing growth strategies and initiatives that align with corporate objectives.
d. Cultivate a work environment that encourages teamwork, career development and a passion for living our Five Star Purpose daily.
e. Works with financial center managers to build a relationship with local community leaders to grow awareness in the community, identify new member opportunities, and expand member base.
f. Analyze financial center performance and provide feedback, guidance, training, and encouragement to impact results.
4.Provide and Disseminate Relevant reporting.
a. Provide annual recommendations for growth goals to VP, Retail Sales & Service by creating a documented goal matrix by financial center/market.
b. Provide monthly reports to VP, Retail Sales & Service on market performance
c. Review financial center dashboards monthly with financial center managers to support continued focus on growing the business.
5.Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
b. Completes special projects as assigned.
c. Conduct and/or attend meetings as required.
d. Regular travel required.
e. Provides access to shared calendar to VP, Retail Sales & Service where planned meetings and travel are scheduled.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Two-year college degree, or completion of specialized course of study, or completion of specialized extensive in-house training or comparable experience.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Required Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
Extensive understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
Extensive knowledge of branch functions, policies, and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of fundamentals of the financial industry including a basic understanding of the Federal Reserve System, the check clearing process, and the legal theory of negotiable instruments.
Knowledge of strategic planning, including goal setting and effective marketing techniques.
Experience Required: At least five years of related experience in a financial institution.
At least five years supervisory experience required leading multiple groups or several direct reports.
Skills/Abilities:Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Solid organizational and analytical abilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
Ability to develop and complete reports and research timely.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to successfully train and coach staff according to Credit Union standards.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Talking: Position requires capacity for almost continuous verbal communication and detailed or important instructions or ideas must frequently be conveyed accurately, loudly or quickly.
Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) Does require outside travel to businesses and work sites.
WORKING CONDITIONS
None: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Able to interpret and apply various instructions.
Mathematics Ability: Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.
Able to perform very simple algebra.
Language Ability: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.
Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions, and make professional presentations.
