The Paralegal 4 is responsible for providing legal support to the staff of the Legal Services Department in furnishing legal services to all subsidiaries of the FMOL Health System.
Responsibilities
- Provides Legal Support 
- Drafts legal documents with attorney oversight.
 - Assists with review and analysis of medical staff issues including, but not limited to, peer review, bylaws and companion documents as requested.
 - Understands statutory, regulatory and case law on a range of issues including, but not limited to, contractual agreements, employment issues, regulatory issues, corporate matters, medical staff issues, policies and procedures, reimbursement issues and other issues as needed.
 - Supports and participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided.
 - Performs legal research and drafts legal documents with attorney oversight, maintains confidential information and communicate with professional staff.
 - Handles more complex situations, at the direction of the attorneys
 
 - Contract Management Support 
- Coordinates contract requests including communications with outside counsel as needed.
 - Reviews and drafts contracts including, but not limited to, physician contracts, contracts for sale and lease of property, consultant contracts, service contracts, confidentiality contracts and other contracts as requested.
 - Oversees the use of the Contract Management databases including ensuring all contracts in the organization are properly included and documented.
 - Responsible for day-to-day training for Contract Management databases users and/or coordination of more extensive training as required.
 - Supports and participates in the continuous improvement of the quality of services provided including developing and implementing procedures regarding Contract Management databases.
 
 - Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
10 years of transactional based experience
Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
