Who You'll Work With

Corebridge Investments manages over $400B of assets for Corebridge and their related insurance companies through separately managed portfolios and fund investments across a wide array of asset classes, including high grade and below investment grade corporate credit, private credit and direct lending, commercial and residential real estate, and private and real estate equity. The organization is comprised of experienced investment professionals who seek to create attractive risk-adjusted returns for the firm and its shareholders.

About the role

The Portfolio Reporting team is seeking a Senior Analyst to work as an integral member of the team to support investment analysis and portfolio management reporting.  In this role, you will provide analytical support to various functions performed by the CIO team, including but not limited to:

  • investment planning; asset tracking
  • portfolio management and data reporting
  • investment and portfolio analysis; and ad-hoc management requests

This is an opportunity to tell the story of our investment portfolio and work across many teams and clients. The Senior Analyst will support the reporting and presentation needs to internal stakeholders, such as the Corebridge Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, etc. and external stakeholders, such as rating agencies, Department of Insurance, insurance clients, strategic partners, etc.

This role requires someone who is comfortable with manipulating large data sets and being able to reconcile various sources of information. Being able to handle multiple assignments under time constraints is expected.  The successful candidate will work across asset management, finance, treasury, actuarial, and accounting teams on a continual basis to leverage and rationalize investment information.

Responsibilities

  • Financial services experience, preferably in fixed income asset management, as well as the ability to deliver high quality investment reporting on a multitude of portfolio characteristics.
  • Experience working for an insurance company or a third-party asset manager, GAAP and Statutory financial reporting experience a plus.
  • Experience with internal control or monitoring functions, including Internal Audit, Operation Risk Management, Finance Control Unit, ERM, or willingness to interface with multiple internal controls groups preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas and processes. Ability to present complex ideas/findings effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Quick learner that is comfortable in fast pace, deadline-oriented culture.
  • Flexible, self-starter, inquisitive with problem solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.  General knowledge of additional fixed income reporting systems, preferably MicroStrategy, Bloomberg and Aladdin are a plus.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Microsoft:  Excel, PowerPoint, Power Pivot/BI.
  • 2 years of industry experience.
  • CFA, or working toward preferred.
  • Experience in programming such as Microsoft Access, VBA and/or working with Information Technology is a plus.
  • Six sigma certification or experience in operational improvements is a plus.
