POSITION:  Portfolio Performance Manager (Private Label)

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to state regulations,  the salary range is $95,000-$120,000 plus bonus potential. ​Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

 

SUMMARY

The Portfolio Performance Manager (Private Label) will be tasked with planning and executing  project management related functions with a specific focus on reporting of portfolio wide metrics, portfolio-wide quality control and compliance, management of operational tools, resources and procedures, participation in the development of Cardinal’s business intelligence platform, and general support of Cardinal Group’s managed portfolio.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)

  • Directly support the Cardinal Group Operations teams in the areas outlined above in the Summary.
  • Collaborate directly with the systems, IT and data teams to provide operational input for any relevant projects in our data and business intelligence systems.
  • Collaborate with the operations training & development team to improve the delivery of new training content in the areas of data literacy and functional use of our business intelligence systems and data platforms.
  • Manage the production of company-wide reporting, including (but not limited to) Accounts Receivable, Portfolio Performance Metrics, community attributes, and Cardinal Companies’ product penetration.
  • Analyze portfolio metrics to discover operating trends across the portfolio, with a focus on maximizing revenue from all existing and future revenue streams at Cardinal Group Companies.
  • Provide quality-control functions to ensure compliance with Cardinal Group’s operational schedules or best practices as it relates to turnover, annual planning, and other areas to be assigned.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the CGM Senior leadership team.
  • Work in concert with other Cardinal Group Companies with a focus on overall data integrity
  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required and champion the Cardinal Culture.

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in finance, operations, and systems
  • Excellent time management and organization skills as well as a professional attitude
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize
  • Must have EXCELLENT analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 4-8 weeks per year
  • Professional written and verbal communication as well as great interpersonal skills required
  • Customer service focused (i.e., generating accurate and timely results and effectively communicating to team members, co-workers, and management)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Routine local travel is required to attend training classes, client visits, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Overnight travel required to attend company functions, training, property visits, and other situations necessary for the accomplishment of special projects that may be assigned from time to time.

Manager, Operational Performance

 

Overview

The Learning and Performance Manager is accountable for advancing employee performance, operational efficiency, and organizational growth through strategic learning programs, coaching, and performance management. This role not only creates and delivers impactful training, but also evaluates business processes, ensures alignment with KPIs, and communicates performance expectations and deliverables across teams. With a strong focus on sales, service excellence, and reputation management, the Learning and Performance Manager plays a central role in driving results at the team, site, and portfolio level while safeguarding brand standards and enhancing the employee and resident experience.

Core Responsibilities

             Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics across the property management portfolio to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement.

             Develop and implement strategies and process enhancements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery within property operations (e.g., leasing, maintenance, resident retention, and financial reporting).

             Coach and mentor team members and site leadership to directly address and resolve identified performance deficits and operational challenges.

             Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for all operational functions to ensure consistency and compliance.

             Lead operational reviews and conduct site visits to assess on-the-ground performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive accountability for results.

             Collaborate with regional and site leadership to set performance targets, monitor progress, and ensure the successful execution of operational initiatives.

             Drive the adoption of new technologies and systems that enhance operational efficiency and the resident experience.

             Report on operational performance and the impact of implemented strategies to executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

            3-5 years of relevant industry experience in operations, training and systems

            Excellent time management and organization skills as well as a professional attitude

            Institutional knowledge of Cardinal Group and deep industry-specific knowledge of property management

            Customer service focused (i.e. generating accurate and timely results and effectively communicating to team members, co-workers, and management)

            Ability to multi-task and self-manage workloads and projects

            Effective presentation and facilitation skills

            Ability to travel nationally 30% of the time and evenings/some weekends while on-site

            Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values every day
