The Senior Manager, Operational Excellence is a critical member of the Office of the COO, responsible for executing cross-functional initiatives, driving operational alignment across the organization, and supporting the Firm’s enterprise planning and execution rhythm. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff and VP, Operational Excellence, this role partners closely with Global Shared Services (GSS) leadership, business unit leaders, and corporate functions to ensure strategic initiatives are well-executed and that enterprise priorities are translated into actionable, trackable plans. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational and project management skills, a collaborative mindset, and a high degree of discretion and professionalism.

Our preference is for team members to work from the Plano office 1–2 days per week. However, we’re open to a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Chief of Staff to develop, deploy, maintain, and/or assess best practices, policies, procedures, delegation of authorities, key performance indicators, key contracts, and other operational processes as needed.
  • Partner with business leaders to lead execution of strategic and operational initiatives that support the Office of the COO and enterprise-wide goals.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of enterprise operating rhythms, including quarterly business reviews, annual planning cycles, leadership meetings, and other executive operating cadences.
  • Develop and manage project plans for key firmwide initiatives; ensure timely follow-up, risk identification, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with business unit and functional leaders to ensure consistent tracking, reporting, and delivery of high-impact projects and cross-functional efforts.
  • Maintain tools and processes to support enterprise-wide delegation of authority, approval workflows, and escalation protocols.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Policy Governance to align operational processes with policy development and ensure effective communication of policy changes.
  • Support the administration and refinement of the Delegation of Authority (DoA) framework—including maintaining documentation, tracking updates, and coordinating version control across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate with business unit leaders to ensure adherence to DoA policies, providing first-line guidance on escalation protocols and routing expectations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with business unit leaders helping to gather input, resolve discrepancies, and ensure consistent application of governance standards across business units.
  • Monitor compliance trends and escalate risks or inconsistencies in decision rights or approvals to the Chief of Staff for resolution.
  • Contribute to training and communication efforts related to DoA updates, ensuring stakeholders understand their roles, responsibilities, and the pathways for approval.
  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reporting for senior executives and leadership meetings.
  • Serve as a connector across business units, enabling coordination and removing obstacles to execution.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Business, Finance, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • 5+ years of total work experience in operations at a publicly-held company
  • Change management certification and project management background preferred but not required
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Proven track record of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management and multitasking/prioritization abilities
  • Well organized, able to prioritize well, work efficiently. Shows flexibility as workloads fluctuate.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage major projects to successful completion

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Smartsheet, PowerBi, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including managing project teams, assigning work, checking work for accuracy and completeness, and training employees.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm, clients, and interface with external vendors as necessary.
  • Independent travel requirement:  25%.
