About the Role
The role also involves acting as an Academic Advisor to undergraduate students and supervising final year Dissertation projects. There will also be involvement in the promotion and marketing of the Forensic Science programme through recruitment events and outreach.
About You
- A first degree and PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline
- Recent, successful experience of university teaching in a related area
- Knowledge and understanding of Professional Standards in Forensic Science
- Excellent ICT skills including e-learning tools
- Experience of Module Leadership
- A higher education teaching qualification
- An understanding of or the ability to develop an understanding of HE quality assurance processes
- Knowledge of course accreditation by relevant professional bodies
Additional Information
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

- Applicants with five years or less full time equivalent teaching experience in Higher Education who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to complete an approved Certificate in Professional Learning in Higher Education course during the first two years of employment.
- Applicants with more than five years full time equivalent teaching experience in Higher Education who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to accredit their practice through the HEA fellowship application process during their 6 month probation period.
