Job Summary:
The Supervisor, LPNs & MAs will oversee and support Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants in the performance of their duties, including patient care, clinic operations, and administrative responsibilities. This role ensures efficient clinic workflows, supports quality initiatives, and contributes to an exceptional patient experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruits, trains, and supports LPN and MA staff.
- Oversees daily workflow and care team operations.
- Leads pre-visit planning and ensures patient needs are addressed.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Manages timecards, PTO, and clinic coverage for assigned staff.
- Facilitates staff meetings and conducts weekly 1:1 supervision.
- Implements organizational initiatives within assigned care teams.
- Ensures adherence to nursing policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provides direct patient care as needed, including administering injections, assisting with exams, and documenting care.
- Supports interdisciplinary care coordination and quality improvement efforts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Current NYS Nursing License required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, or 15 years of clinical nursing experience with a NYS Nursing License.
- 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Experience in Primary Care or Family Medicine preferred.
- BCLS certification required.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with EPIC EMR required.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee may occasionally need to stoop, bend, and lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
