Job Summary:
CNPC USA is seeking an accomplished and innovative Vice President of Administration, Sales & Marketing to join our executive leadership team. This role is accountable for leading support and commercial functions, building sales and marketing strategies, and driving commercialization of CNPC technologies and services.
The Vice President will oversee Human Resources, Supply Chain, Sales, and Information Technology while also developing and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies that expand CNPC USA’s commercial footprint in North America and globally.
This executive will report directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) and/or the Chairman/CEO of CNPC.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Administration
- Supervise and manage support functions including Human Resources, Supply Chain, Sales, and Information Technology.
- Identify key performance indicators for administrative and commercial functions.
- Develop short- and long-term business plans aligned with corporate objectives in China and the USA.
- Hire, develop, and motivate a high-performing management team through effective communication, accountability, and results-based compensation.
- Approve promotions, job offers, and salary increases within reporting lines.
- Manage budget approvals and participate in M&A engagements.
- Ensure operational excellence and sustainability across departments.
Sales, Marketing & Commercialization
- Lead the commercialization of CNPC technologies and services into new and existing markets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Design and oversee marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and product adoption in North America and global markets.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships with key industry stakeholders, clients, and partners.
- Oversee competitive analysis, market research, and pricing strategies to align offerings with customer demand.
- Introduce go-to-market strategies for new products and services, ensuring timely and profitable launches.
- Partner with engineering and R&D teams to align product development with market opportunities.
- Represent CNPC at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build commercial visibility.
- Conduct all business activities in agreement with CNPC USA’s Core Values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Skills:
- Proven ability to commercialize oil and gas technologies and bring them successfully to market.
- Strong background in sales leadership, marketing strategy, and business development within the oil and gas sector.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating high-value contracts and managing client relationships.
- Expertise in managing multiple business functions simultaneously.
- Ability to lead organizational restructuring and build high-performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions quickly in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with a blend of administrative leadership, sales, marketing, and commercialization experience.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable revenue growth through commercialization of oil and gas technologies or services.
- Experience working in international, cross-cultural business environments.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees within Human Resources, Supply Chain, Sales, and Information Technology. The Sales & Marketing function is not yet established; the Vice President will be responsible for building, developing, and supervising this department to align with CNPC’s commercial growth strategy. This role is accountable for performance management, recruitment, and leadership development within assigned departments.

Professional office environment with routine use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Primarily sedentary role; some filing and ability to lift up to 10 lbs. required.
Travel:
May be required to travel domestically and internationally more than approximately 50% of the time; as well as, between local offices.
