Wheeler Machinery is seeking a proactive and collaborative Cross-Functional Lead to support strategic execution across our Rental Division. This role will serve as a central connector between transportation, sales, operations teams ensuring alignment, accountability, and smooth delivery of rental and sales projects and initiatives.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead coordination across departments to ensure rental projects are executed efficiently and on schedule
  • Facilitate communication between Transportation, Sales, Operations, and Sales teams to resolve issues and align priorities
  • Support implementation of strategic initiatives such as go-to-market refinement, and customer experience enhancements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation, workflows, and cross-team playbooks
  • Drive accountability by tracking task progress, escalating blockers, and ensuring follow-through
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in operations, project coordination, or cross-functional leadership preferably in equipment rental, construction, or logistics
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive alignment across teams
  • Experience with rental management systems and CRM platforms is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Trello, or similar)

  • Cross-functional task completion rate
  • Rental project delivery timeliness
  • Internal team satisfaction score (cross-departmental feedback)
  • Issue resolution time
  • Strategic initiative execution rate
