Financial Services partners with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy, and investor relations.
 

The Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Reporting & Data team, part of Group Finance, delivers reporting and data solutions to support the Group’s commitment to Australia’s net zero transition by 2050. The team focuses on:

  • Performance Reporting: Internal and external reporting of climate-related commitments, including financed emissions and sustainability targets, and governance of ESG reporting.
  • Statutory Reporting: Implementing mandatory climate-related reporting and ensuring compliance with regulatory and assurance requirements.
  • Data Strategy: Developing the Group’s ESG data strategy, enhancing reporting and data capabilities, and managing data end-to-end.
  • Climate Policy: Providing technical climate expertise and supporting external reporting and business unit interpretation of standards.


Do Work That Matters

As Manager – ESG Statutory Reporting, reporting to the Senior Manager, you will help deliver the ESG Reporting & Data team’s strategic agenda. You’ll play a key role in implementing mandatory climate-related disclosures and supporting assurance in line with regulatory requirements. The role involves collaboration across ESG teams, the Group Environmental & Social Strategy team, and business unit ESG and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive implementation of mandatory climate-related financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and evolve disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with climate-related reporting obligations.
  • Support year-end reporting and audit deliverables.
  • Engage with stakeholders on ESG reporting initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess developments in climate reporting standards.
  • Contribute to external consultations and industry initiatives.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and peer benchmarking for senior stakeholders.
  • Foster a strong team culture.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct.


We’re Interested in People Who Have

  • Professional services or audit experience (preferred).
  • Strong reporting, analytical, and business partnering skills.
  • Commercial acumen and professional judgment.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Problem-solving mindset for automation and process improvement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • CA qualification and Big 4 background (preferred).
  • Risk mindset—proactively identify and address risks.


Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • CA or CPA qualification (preferred).
