- Receive and assess transportation requests for emergency and non-emergency services
- Dispatch ambulances in a timely and efficient manner based on patient needs and priority levels
- Communicate with paramedics, medical staff, and patients to ensure clear understanding of transportation details
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and relevant healthcare regulations
- Maintain records of all dispatch activities, including logs of vehicle movements and service details
- Respond promptly and efficiently to changes or issues in the schedule, adapting as necessary to meet the needs of patients and clients
- Provide customer service, ensuring that all parties involved have clear, timely, and effective communication
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a dispatching or scheduling role, preferably in healthcare, emergency services, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer and software proficiency (e.g., scheduling software, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A strong commitment to service, professionalism, and safety
- Knowledge of medical terminology or previous healthcare experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
