We are seeking a Cashier with excellent customer service skills and a winning attitude.  Our cashier handles all service and sales customer payments - this is a busy position that sees a lot of customers! They also process the deposit for the parts department at the end of the day. The cashier position stocks in new vehicles to our management system daily using the factory invoice and assigns new vehicle stock numbers. This position also involves sorting invoices to prepare for others to file. 

The hours for this full time position are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system and/or information from the sales department for money owed on sales delivery. 
  • Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received to the proper accounts. 
  • Process credit card payments received over the phone or by fax 
  • Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
  • Process any credit card refunds that have been approved and properly receipt. 
  • Be aware of IRS cash reporting requirements and obtain all necessary information for form 8300 to be submitted by the accounting office.  
  • Prepare daily deposits accurately and efficiently to be brought to the bank and/or submitted online. 
  • Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
  • Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
  • Assist the managers with various clerical duties as needed
  • Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
  • Familiarize yourself with department structures & internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and accurate money handling practices
  • Ability to stay focused and calm during busy times. 
  • Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds Ignite and Microsoft Office suite is a plus
  • Ability to communicate customers' interests, needs and requests to management and sales or service personnel
  • Professional personal appearance
