We are seeking a Part-Time Metadata Specialist Intern to support the organization and improvement of Korean genealogical records within the FamilySearch database. This role involves identifying duplicate collections, merging or dividing volumes, and correcting metadata using a variety of internal tools and external reference files. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working with historical data in both English and Korean.
Responsibilities
• Work with Microsoft Excel to organize and manage data
• Use basic computer coding skills to process and clean data
• Review and correct metadata in the FamilySearch system
• Identify duplicate records and help merge or split record collections
• Follow project guidelines and complete tasks on time
Qualifications
• Read and understand English instructions and system tools
• Work primarily in Korean; ability to recognize and understand some Hanja
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
