Job Description:
The growth of our global franchise is multi-faceted and the success of our electronic offering is paramount to our efforts. Nomura does not currently have an eFX sales person sitting in the US region after a restructuring in July of 2025. We are looking for a VP level candidate to lead our eFX distribution efforts in New York. We are looking for an individual to grow the franchise in 3 manners:
• Optimize the clients we are already engaged with for eFX
• Grow our franchise through engaging clients of the voice franchise who we are not currently trading electronically with
• Add clients via external acquisition
The individual to lead these efforts must be entrepreneurial, organized, driven and detail as well as data oriented. The individual must also be able to work within a global team construct and have strong interpersonal skills and client relationships. The candidate must have a strong grasp of current market structure – inclusive of client needs in the Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Insurance and Banks space. They must also be knowledgeable in the intricacies of various 3rd party execution and liquidity venues. This individual must be able to work alongside voice sales to penetrate their client base as well as have a strong understanding of trade and portfolio optimization. They must interact with voice and e-trading internally to ensure proper streaming and RFQ interfaces in the spot, swap, outright, NDF, NDS as well as derivative business lines.
The day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Optimizing pricing for current clients
- Engaging new clients to grow our footprint and client diversification
- Discussing markouts and trade details with clients
- Working with sales to fine tune pricing tiers
- Working with trading to provide seamless pricing across venues and vendors
- Crafting and executing growth and profitability plans
- Traveling to see clients and maintain relationships
*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
