Canfor is currently looking for a strong leader with proven experience in an industrial setting to join our team as a Shipping Supervisor. As a member of Canfor's Divisional Management Team, the Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination and timely and accurate shipment of all rail car and truck orders, kiln schedules and quality optimization. You will also be responsible for the supervision, safety, and coordination of forklift operators.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and coordination of all related production employees and equipment related to shipping

Determine & meet daily/weekly shipping requirements while achieving target inventories

Ensure that established safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement KPI's are met or exceeded on a consistent basis

Work with all personnel to ensure compliance in safety, environment, company policies, WorkSafe BC safety regulations, and Technical Safety BC.

Foster a culture of knowledge sharing with other personnel
The Candidate:

Minimum Grade 12 education with preference given to candidates with relevant post-secondary education

Supervisory experience in the sawmill industry

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new programs

Strong written and oral communications

Ability to thrive as a management team member in a unionized work environment

Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with the flexibility to effectively respond to continually changing internal and external business conditions

The salary range for this position is: $70,000.00-$100,000.00
