The Senior Admissions Representative holds a blended position within the areas of admissions, enrollment and recruitment.  This position requires the exercise of initiative and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment; Senior Admissions Representatives foster relationships with qualified prospective students to become students of Parker University and provide a positive, professional impression for guests, students and staff in person, on the phone, and via email.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for guiding prospective students from inquiry through

acceptance into Parker University – 80%

  • Administer training for team, under direction of Director of Admissions. – 20%

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills such as the ability to build cooperative relationships with a diverse customer base by being perceptive of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do; and the ability to make presentations and conduct interviews.

  • Proven success in presenting sales or training material.

  • Handle multiple tasks and due date pressures utilizing strong planning, organization and time management skills while generating a high level of quality work product.

  • Completes projects and tasks independently.

  • Develops, manages and meets action plans in order to obtain personal and departmental enrollment objectives.

  • Effectively communicate in person, in writing and over the phone with prospective students regarding the enrollment process.

  • Work with little or no supervision.

  • Actively promote all programs offered at Parker University to prospective students.

  • Use the customer relationship management (CRM) system to document all communication with the prospective student.

  • Remain current on knowledge of university degree offering and programs as well as Academic and Financial Aid policy changes.

  • Evaluate activity monthly against standards and personal inquiry goals.

  • Assist and participate in the planning of recruiting and enrollment events as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable University policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed.

  • Identify needed training for Admissions Representatives

  • Coach Admissions Representatives on job processes.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: 

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:

  • High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred

  • A minimum of three to five year of sales, recruiting, or interviewing experience with a proven track-record.

  • College Admissions preferred

  • Experience communicating with diverse groups of people in person, by telephone and in writing

  • Experience with high-volume outbound calls, appointment scheduling, and managing of telephone, mail-in, and walk-in prospective students

  • Hybrid work environment

  • Worked in or attended a university setting, a plus

  • Experience with internet-based leads, a plus

  • Bi-lingual, a plus

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC:

 

  • Ability to remain flexible and easily adapt to changes in assignment;

  • College Admissions preferred with three to five years of sales, staffing or recruiting experience.

  • Preferred Sale Force and Jenzabar experience.

  • Ability to coordinate and/or perform multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds;

  • Possess advanced technology skills, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook;

  • Enter and interpret data within a customer relationship management system; Ability to handle multiple tasks and due date pressures utilizing strong planning, organization and time management skills while generating a high level of quality work;

  • Ability to represent the university in a professional manner through appearance, attitude and positive interaction while adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.

  • Self-starter, proactive problem-solver, energetic, team player; Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends, as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal.  Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.

  • May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.

  • Ability to stand or sit for up to eight (8) hours per day and lift twelve (12) pounds.
