Do you love the energy of the holiday season? The City of Sandy Springs is looking for enthusiastic Seasonal Ice Rink Shift Supervisors to help us create a fun, safe, and memorable winter experience for the community.
As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of rink attendants, keep operations running smoothly, and ensure every guest—from first-time skaters to pros—feels welcomed and safe on the ice.
What You’ll Do
Supervise rink and ticket attendants during your shift
Oversee daily rink operations (opening, closing, and ice maintenance – training provided)
Deliver excellent customer service and assist visitors
Train and support team members
Monitor ice safety, rink capacity, and enforce safety rules
Help with special events, crowd management, and skate rentals
Safely operate ice resurfacing equipment and sharpen skates (training provided)
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Available nights, weekends, and some holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Years Day.
- Previous experience in ice rink operations, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of ice rink safety rules and protocols.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.
- Skating experience is a plus.

ADA Compliance:
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert medium physical effort in light to medium work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds. Tasks may involve balancing, bending, climbing, crouching, handling, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping, walking, and extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Some work is done on a slippery surface.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires the ability to work in a cold outdoor environment.
