Seasonal Ice Rink Attendants play a key role in creating a safe, clean, and enjoyable skating experience for families, friends, and neighbors throughout the winter season.
Dates: November 14 - January 19, 2026 is our ice rink season. Some required availability over the holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
What You’ll Do
Assist with rink opening and closing procedures, including skate preparation and rink-side setup
Help guests with skate rentals, returns, and sizing
Monitor ice activities, enforce rink rules, and provide crowd control support
Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the rink area
Provide excellent customer service and assist guests as needed
Support supervisors with rink operations, events, and general upkeep
What We’re Looking For
Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in cold outdoor conditions for extended periods
Team player with flexibility to take on a variety of tasks
Skating experience is helpful, but not required

ADA Compliance:
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert medium physical effort in light to medium work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds. Tasks may involve balancing, bending, climbing, crouching, handling, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping, walking, and extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Some work is done on a slippery surface.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires the ability to work in a cold outdoor environment.
