Glass Wash Specialist

Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm CST

Join our dedicated team in Unity Lab Services as a Glasswash Specialist, where we provide flawless support tailored to our remarkable needs. We’re seeking an organized individual to handle lab support operations, including glasswash, garment management, and gas/dry ice management. You'll be the primary point of contact for lab personnel, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all support activities.

A day in the Life:

  • Perform specific tasks associated with labware operations, including pick up/delivery of glassware to labs, precision glassware cleaning, quality control, and sterilization through autoclaving.
  • Handle dry ice delivery management, ensuring a consistent supply to labs and safe storage of these materials.
  • Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & Work Instructions.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Preferred Experience

  • Material handling within a GxP environment
  • Previous work in a laboratory setting, handling Tunnel Washers, Miele Washers, and dryer systems.
  • Operation of a Box Truck.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and a safety-first approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Various areas in the building require different personal protective equipment such as lab coats, face masks, hairnets, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses.
  • Regularly required to lift 30 - 40lbs, and up to 50lbs occasionally. Regular use of equipment including pushcarts etc. to push/pull up to 100lbs.
  • Required to stand, walk and conduct manual material handling (twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, etc.) for prolonged periods.
  • Capability to work extra hours, or autonomously, as the need arises.
