Essential Functions:
Coordinate and provide training, and technical assistance for child and family health, safety services at Head Start Centers.
Review, and monitor health records and data entry for accuracy.
Collaborate with Head Start partners in the state on health issues (including children exams, immunizations, dental, mental, and nutrition).
Work with staff to ensure pre and post operational health and safety checks/procedures are completed as required.
Work with all departments to create and achieve strategic goals.
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid Instructors Certification (Adult/Infant/Toddler) by an accredited organization.
Frequent travel in rural areas in/out of the state.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Master in Public Health - Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, Nursing, or other health-related field. Three years working with children and families in field related to degree. Head Start experience preferred.
Accepted: Bachelor in Public Health - Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, Nursing, or other health-related field. Five years working with children and families in field related to degree.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
