ValidaTek is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator who will manage, design, and secure the network infrastructure for a large IT modernization and transformational program for our DISA customer. The Sr. Network Administrator will ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of the network.
Responsibilities
- Leading network-related projects from conception to implementation.
- Planning, designing, and implementing scalable LAN/WAN, VP, and wireless network infrastructures.
- Performing installations, configurations, and ongoing maintenance of network devices, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal availability and reliability.
- Implementing and overseeing network security measures.
- Providing expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex network outages and performance issues.
- Developing and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in increasingly complex networking infrastructure in a cleared government environment.
- Strong proficiency with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Deep knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network security principles, firewall management, and vulnerability assessment.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to collaborate with IT teams and end users.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/related field or equivalent work experience.
