ValidaTek is seeking a Mid-level Network Administrator who will support the network infrastructure for a large IT modernization and transformational program for our DISA customer. The Mid-level Network Administrator will assist in ensuring high performance, availability, and reliability of the network.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the stability and performance of computer networks and systems.
- Setting up and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, and cabling.
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues and providing support to end-users for network-related problems.
- Implementing and maintaining network security policies and technologies including firewalls and antivirus software.
- Scheduling and monitoring network data back-ups and performing occasional data restoration tests.
- Creating and maintaining network diagrams and documentation.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- 3 to 7 years of experience supporting increasingly complex networking infrastructure in a cleared government environment.
- Demonstrated experience with network hardware, operation systems, and related software.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to identify and solve network challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the IT team and end-users.
- An associate degree in computer science/related field or equivalent work experience.
