GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Registers new students and screens documents related to residency, guardianship, student eligibility and immunizations to ensure compliance with district policy. Maintains all records related to currently enrolled students and monitors transcripts to ensure accuracy. Provides information and assistance to students, faculty and parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains cumulative files on all active students;
Registers all new students, ensuring accuracy and completeness of required documents;
Requests and receives in-coming student records;
Orders diplomas and covers for graduation;
Assists with standardized testing;
Maintains AIMS data;
Sets up and produces Permanent Record Cards for all students;
Posts grades to Permanent Record Card;
Posts grades in SIRS;
Maintains and checks Transcripts for accuracy;
Prints Report Cards;
Maintains GPA and Ranking list for all students;
Coordinates Scholarship Program, to include arranging interviews and serving as contact person for local groups;
Prepares Senior Awards Program;
Prepares requisitions for the Career Center;
Serves as liaison for military recruiters;
Serves as liaison for Foreign Exchange Students;
Oversees the work of Career Center aides;
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent;
Three years of related experience;
Demonstrated proficiency with PC programs;
Ability to communicate and work well with staff, students and the public.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
TIME MANAGEMENT: Must plan three to six months in advance; STRESS MANAGEMENT: Periodic stress due to intermittent deadlines; PUBLIC CONTACT: Interacts primarily with students and staff; some contact with parents and the general public; LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Must use sound judgment in performing job; EVALUATION PROCEDURE: In accordance with provisions specified in Governing Board policy. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Assistant Principal; SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Oversees the work of Career Center aides.
