A Day in the Life
The Closing Specialist III is responsible for funding/closing transactions as well as liaising between Credit, Loan Servicing, and Accounting on a transactional basis. Some travel may be required.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support funding/closing for new loan, extension, and renewal.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all Closing and Funding Functions.
- Will assist in the direction and operations of the closing team.
- Follow all policies and procedures, along with agency and state guidelines.
- Time management in daily tasks, operations and quality control; ensures coordinating available resources for maximum results.
- Review executed documents for funding/closing, including, but not limited to, borrower entity documents, transaction agreements, preliminary title documents, escrow items, compliance documents, insurance evidence, flood certifications, commercial appraisals, environmental report, etc. Follow up as necessary to obtain missing items and/or corrections.
- Ensure timely and efficient loan closing verifying all conditions have been satisfied prior to funding in accordance with Lender’s Instruction and/or Request for Disbursement Check List.
- Set up closing with closing agent/title and review funding spreadsheet, funder ISO, and disbursement summary.
- Initiate funding request to accounting department upon receipt of director’s approval.
- Provide the internal servicing department with timely and accurate information utilized in loan data reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the department and that help to make Lendistry the best place to work!
Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous Loan Closing experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or more than 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Financial services work experience of more than 5 years.
- Detailed oriented and strong organization skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft office.
- Knowledge of funding guidelines and procedures.
- Must work effectively with other staff members and work well in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, operations, and regulations.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours.
- Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor.

Compensation Range
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$93,100 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Physical Requirements
This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
