The Industrial Engineer II applies engineering techniques and technology to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls, considering human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
This position will serve our Raypak Division, located in Oxnard, CA.
Responsibilities
• Design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency
• Create manufacturing routings and work instructions for the fabrication of parts and assemblies with clear instructions.
• Develop process documentation (Process Flow, VSM, FMEA, Spaghetti Diagrams)
• Identify opportunities for improvements and lead cross functional teams at continuous improvement activities plant- wide using Lean manufacturing tools to streamline operations for new and existing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity to reduce waste and lower costs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing process issues (Root cause analysis)
• Defining and documenting processes, equipment and fixtures needed to achieve production readiness for NPI projects in accordance with engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and manufacturing requirements are integrated into the design and development of a new product from ideation through launch
• Define the required machinery, fixtures, gauges, and other equipment needed for the manufacturing process.
• Define Operations’ Hourly Employees job positions scope of work, labor grade and prepare their training plan
• Collaborate with HR to execute Operations’ Hourly Employees evaluations
• Train technicians and manufacturing associates on manufacturing processes

The pay scale of this role is $79,272 - 126,900. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
