POSITION SUMMARY:
The Park Monitor maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and team members by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Provide customer service to guests, vendors, participants, and colleagues
- Raise/Lower U.S. flags and fold according to procedures
- Maintaining the Facility Operations Center including providing information, signing in visitors, issuing equipment (keys, radios, fleet vehicles, chairs, tables, etc.)
- Monitor fire alarms and other emergencies and lead implementation of the facility's Emergency Action Plan while communicating effectively with staff and first responders
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to facilitate a safe environment for guests, vendors, participants, and staff
- Monitor CCTV
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on company equipment/ property
- Generate and complete incident reports when needed
- Demonstrate basic computer knowledge
- Organize and file all documentation relating to the position
- Assist facility staff in crowd management
- Comply and adhere to policy & procedures
- Assist other departments in need to accomplish event expectations & facility objectives
- Provide shift/event reports
- Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of experience in facility or event management, sports administration, or a related field preferred
- Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
- Must be a team player
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays required
- Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must be willing to obtain them within a specified period of time
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
- Facility has intermittent noise
- Weekends, nights, and holidays required
