POSITION SUMMARY:

The Park Monitor maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and team members by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Provide customer service to guests, vendors, participants, and colleagues
  • Raise/Lower U.S. flags and fold according to procedures
  • Maintaining the Facility Operations Center including providing information, signing in visitors, issuing equipment (keys, radios, fleet vehicles, chairs, tables, etc.)
  • Monitor fire alarms and other emergencies and lead implementation of the facility's Emergency Action Plan while communicating effectively with staff and first responders
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to facilitate a safe environment for guests, vendors, participants, and staff
  • Monitor CCTV
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on company equipment/ property
  • Generate and complete incident reports when needed
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge
  • Organize and file all documentation relating to the position
  • Assist facility staff in crowd management
  • Comply and adhere to policy & procedures
  • Assist other departments in need to accomplish event expectations & facility objectives
  • Provide shift/event reports
  • Other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in facility or event management, sports administration, or a related field preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays required
  • Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must be willing to obtain them within a specified period of time

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
  • Facility has intermittent noise
  • Weekends, nights, and holidays required
