We’re looking for an Assistant Care Center Manager to help lead daily operations at our Bloomington Care Center. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Care Center Director and serving as the on-site lead while the Director is traveling between locations. You’ll help manage people, processes, and performance—ensuring that our standards of excellence and compassion are upheld every single day.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day crematory and transfer care operations at the local care center
- Support and supervise a team of crematory operators, transfer specialists, and support staff
- Help with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards (OSHA), and quality control measures
- Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and compliance records
- Monitor facility conditions and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Communicate with funeral homes, care partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Act as the primary on-site manager in the Director’s absence
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Experience supervising teams or managing shift operations (funeral care or healthcare a plus)
- Calm under pressure and comfortable handling sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Ability to uphold high standards while fostering a respectful, collaborative team environment
