The Opportunity
The Kids
Research Institute’s Facilities Management team look after our buildings,
assets and amenities in order to maintain a modern, vibrant and unique working
environment. Based in Perth Children’s Hospital, our workspace and facilities
span across three floors and include over 600 workstations, laboratories,
bioresources, seminar rooms and event space.
We are now
looking for a Facilities Officer to help ensure the day-to-day smooth
management and operation of our wonderful workspace by providing administrative
support and maintenance tasks whilst providing excellent customer service.
The Role
As part of the
Facilities Management team, you will manage a range of administration duties
such as raising Purchase Orders, monitoring queries within the service desk,
ordering consumables and allocating ID badges to new employees and contractors.
You will also carry out manual tasks including supporting the loading dock,
receiving good and deliveries assisting with event setups.
Some of your
responsibilities will include:
- Assist
with requesting quotes for required services, purchasing, and the
reconciliation of invoices.
- Assist
with Institute asset management program including service docket.
uploads/administration, data entry, preventative maintenance scheduling
etc.
- Assist
with function and meeting room set ups.
- Act
as a point of contact for general queries around our services.
Conveniently
based at Perth Children’s Hospital, this is a part-time, 0.6 FTE, ongoing
position.
About You
The ideal applicant will have strong administration
skills, previous experience working in an operational role and pride themselves
on their superior customer service skills.
Along with this, you must also have the following
skills and experience:
- Administration experience in an operational environment e.g. stock control, warehousing or logistics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively whilst working towards deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience working in a customer facing environment.
- Physical fitness and capability which will allow manual work.
