Location: Hackensack, MN,   

Position: Accounting Data Entry Specialist

Weekdays, Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Hourly $19.00 - $21.00

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Data Entry Specialist to support our finance team by accurately entering and maintaining financial data. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn, whether you're starting out in accounting or looking to apply your skills in a new area. We offer training and support to help you grow within a collaborative team environment

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Help prepare bank deposits and general ledger entries
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
• Review and process customer documentation related to tax exemption status
• Perform other administrative and accounting support tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in accounting or bookkeeping helpful but not necessary
• Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Experience in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with basic accounting software; training available for company-specific systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proficient typing skills with a focus on accuracy
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is helpful but not required
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate computer keyboard and telephone.
• Sitting for long periods of time.
