SUMMARY:
This position is a blend of team leadership and academic administration. The Manager of Academic Operations and TeachForce will manage the TeachForce and Virtual Teach Programs, overseeing the hiring, retention, and performance of teachers in these programs. This includes conducting interviews, facilitating professional development, and managing compensation and resources.
Additionally, this role is responsible for crucial academic operations, such as developing school calendars, managing master schedules, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with a strong background in education administration and a talent for managing both people and processes. They should have at least two years of relevant experience and exceptional attention to detail.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership and Management
Serve as the hiring manager for the TeachForce team, coordinating interview committees and collaborating with Talent Acquisition to address staffing needs.
Lead retention efforts for TeachForce and Virtual Team Program talent through engagement surveys, stay conversations, and hosting community-building events.
Conduct monthly check-ins and one-on-one meetings with teachers, providing feedback and support.
Complete two classroom observations per teacher annually (in-person or virtual) and conduct performance evaluations in collaboration with the on-site dean.
Approve expense reports and manage compensation and pay communications for all Teach Force teachers.
Ensure teachers have the necessary technology and resources, including laptops, virtual learning equipment, and teaching materials.
Academic Operations and Administrative Support
TeachForce/Virtual Teach Program
Oversee the intake of requests for TeachForce teachers, vetting requests and presenting them to the school quality committee for assignment decisions.
Collaborate with school Business Partners to understand staffing needs and inform TeachForce and Virtual Teach Program placement decisions.
Work with the credentialing team to ensure all teachers are properly credentialed for each assignment.
Ensure necessary teams are informed of assignments and that Oracle and other internal systems are accurately updated.
Academic Operations
Lead the development and coordination of the annual academic calendars for all schools, ensuring alignment with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and manage recurring department and stakeholder meetings, including agendas, notes, and follow up.
Collaborate with multiple departments to support the management of each school’s master schedule. This also includes support directly to school office staff and administration for scheduling courses, rostering students, throughout the school year. Summer requirement to support school trainings for entry of schedules in the system. May require some travel.
Enter, update, and maintain accurate academic records and course information in student information systems (SIS), auditing data regularly for accuracy.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal compliance requirements, maintaining up-to-date documentation for audits and reporting.
Prepare and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports related to enrollment, course evaluations, and academic performance metrics.
Manage and maintain stipends for school staff, i.e. facilitating professional development sessions in partnership with the Curriculum & Instruction team, state required professional development attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
Experience working in K–12 academic settings.
At least 2 years of administrative or academic support experience.
Strong data entry and database management skills with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred
Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, PowerSchool).
Knowledge of state education compliance and reporting requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document collaboration tools.
