Will develop, implement, and educate patients, families, & staff on proper breast-feeding techniques and lactation, in conjunction with the RN Lactation Nurses, Providers, to promote family centered care. Position serves as a clinical expert, consultant, education leader and liaison between the patient/ family, provider, staff. This person will help grow the exclusive breastfeeding rates through telehealth, education, awareness and networking. The position provides research and evidence-based care to lactation consultants to drive breastfeeding success and improve the health of mother and baby both on an inpatient and outpatient basis, as well as communities at large. Position actively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values and guiding principles of CentraCare. Patients cared for include childbearing women and newborn infants. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 64 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud
- Day shift | Mon-Friday 8am-4:30pm | working 4 days a week
Pay and Benefits:
Starting pay begins at $39.74 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
Pay range: $39.74 - $59.61 per hour

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required, master's degree preferred
1 years to 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting with background in post-partum, labor and delivery, special care nursery, or pediatrics required
Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, ethics, and experience in supporting nutritional needs of mother/ infant
3 years of breastfeeding education/instruction experience required
Registered Nurse (RN) Current licensure in the State of Minnesota required
Certified Lactation Counselor Current certification (IBCLC) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider card per established policy required
