Job Title: Development Associate-Annual Giving and Events Support
Department: Development
Reports to: Executive Director of Development
Supports: Development Coordinators-Data Analytics 7 Events/Alumni
Classification: Non-Exempt; Part Time (up to 28 hours/week)
DEFINITION
The Associate will lead the Development Department’s Annual Giving efforts to identify, engage, cultivate, solicit and steward donor prospects focusing on the Donor Cycle and utilizing “Moves Management”. The employee will help grow the “Every Lion Every Year” Annual Giving Program through meaningful engagements with current parents, alumni parents, grandparents, alumni, volunteers and friends. The employee will also support the Development Department’s Data and Events Coordinators and be a Team player. Candidate must be positive, energetic, organized, a self-starter, flexible, and believe fervently in building a culture of philosophy at Linfield Christian School.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Annual Giving
- Responsible for overseeing the school’s “Every Lion Every Year” Annual Giving Program.
- Recruit, organize, and train “Development Ambassador” volunteers.
- Develop strategies to increase parent and staff giving dollars and participation.
- Interact and meet with Donors and potential Donors.
- Work closely with entire Development team to track, analyze and report giving numbers & participation.
Events
- Support and attend all Development events, including set-up and tear down (Annual Giving kick-off, Back to School Nights, Moms’ Breakfast, Auction, Christmas Celebration, etc.).
- Includes ordering supplies and budget support.
- Annual Auction
- Help solicit and secure Live and Online Auction items
- Assist in data entry of auction items and digital resources
Data Support
- Bulk mail projects, thank you letters, data entry (as needed).
Communication
- Maintain confidentiality in handling private financial and personal information
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organization/Implementation
- Work effectively and efficiently under occasionally demanding situations, meeting deadlines and being adaptable to change.
- Other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge Donor management software (or similar product), Canva and Greater Giving a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google
ABILITY TO
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality in handling private financial and personal information.
EDUCATION
- 4-year college degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years Development experience in school environment preferred.
