Location: Puyallup Tribal Health Authority | Tacoma, WA 

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt

Hiring Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) is seeking a Director of Professional Services (DPS) to oversee and elevate our medical and professional services departments. What You’ll Do:

As Director of Professional Services, you will be the driving force behind daily operations across multiple departments, including nursing, medical social work, medical assistants, wellness and community health, lab, radiology, and provider scheduling. You’ll partner with an interdisciplinary team to:

  • Develop and implement systems that enhance the quality, efficiency, and coordination of care.
  • Supervise, mentor, and empower staff while fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Oversee budgets, optimize resource utilization, and collaborate with Patient Accounts to maximize revenue and ensure compliance.
  • Lead wellness initiatives, tribal health days, and other community-focused programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices across all departments, including AAAHC, ACGME, and IHS standards.


What You Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s in Business, Healthcare Administration or Nursing preferred)
  • Active WA State RN license
  • 7+ years of healthcare leadership experience, including supervising interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong experience managing budgets and healthcare accreditation processes
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Cultural sensitivity, respect, and commitment to serving Native communities
