Training Specialist - Junior
Primary Location: Quantico, VA

Job Summary
The Training Specialist – Junior will support the delivery and coordination of training programs across Marine Corps units. Responsibilities include setting up and delivering instructor-led training, collecting feedback, and supporting curriculum updates. The role also involves assisting with training resource management, maintaining training media libraries, and supporting the sustainment of Mobile Training Suites (MTS). The specialist will work closely with the Government’s training leads to ensure training aligns with operational needs and is delivered effectively and professionally.
Specific Responsibilities
- Experience with Marine Corps or DoD training environments
- Familiarity with MarineNet, Blackboard, or other Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Exposure to Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and ADDIE methodologies
- Experience supporting Mobile Training Suites (MTS) or field-based training delivery
- Marine Corps Train-the-Trainer certification (within the last 5 years)
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience in training delivery or instructional support
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional systems design (ISD)
- Ability to deliver structured training sessions and workshops
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic eLearning tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Adobe Captivate)
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to work in various environments including office settings, training centers, and field locations for Mobile Training Suite operations
- Capability to lift and move training equipment and materials as required for mobile training support
- Ability to work extended hours during training events and adapt to varying schedules based on mission requirements
Travel
- Position requires regular travel (up to 40%) to training sites, military installations, and field locations to support Mobile Training Suite operations and instructor-led training delivery
